E.COLI AND CAMPYLOBACTER JEJUNI

E.coli and Campylobacter jejuni are most likely causes of gastrointestinal (food borne) disease in humans. These are common pathogens – disease causing bacteria.

Transmission to humans occurs via contaminated water and foods (such as raw or under-cooked meat, unpasteurized milk and water sources).  Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) occurs via the consumption of above foods and water.
